What Is Community Bridge?

Community Bridge is a student volunteering project that has been set up to enable you to undertake voluntary opportunities with various local organisations, charities and community groups. This is great for your local community but are you aware how great it could be for your career?

Why Volunteer?

To build a successful career, you need to take control of your future. The work place is changing fast and the predictable, well-trodden career route no longer exists for most graduates.

Academic qualifications are still very important, however employers are looking for more and in order to succeed you need to create your own path. Volunteering is a brilliant way to gain some of the skills and experiences employers will be looking for and provides vital preparation for the world of work.

Volunteering…

  • Demonstrates that you have commitment, initiative and self-awareness
  • Enhances your skills and employability
  • Adds value to your CV and local community
  • Promotes entrepreneurship
  • Improves your personal and professional development

Quotes from Students…

‘ Overall a fantastic experience’
